Open Mic 4 Mental Health hosted by Key Changes

WHEN? Fortnightly on a Friday, from 2:30-4pm

WHERE? In the Pop Box

WHAT? Key Changes run a Music Recovery Programme, supporting people to develop their artistic identity - offering a new way of knowing yourself, beyond mental health and illness narratives.

WHY? "Open Mics enable artists to develop their live performance skills, meet other musicians in mental health recovery, and get involved in a range of events volunteering roles. The artists inspire us every time with the support and encouragement they give one another, and it is fantastic to see them grow in confidence with each performance."  

WHO? "Anyone who wants to be part of a supportive, energetic, positive, creative community! We can guarantee some amazing performances from Key Changes artists and regular special guests, and the atmosphere is always welcoming, inclusive and fun. We hope to see you there soon!"

Community Stretch Class hosted by stretch inc.

WHEN? Weekly on a Wednesday, from 11am to 12pm

WHAT? Resident stretchologists stretch inc. are here to get you moving! Get away from your desk and join them in the Greenhouse for a free weekly stretch. No need to book, just turn up with your yoga mat.

Breaking The Worry Chain an online workshop hosted by It's A Playground

WHEN? Wednesday 8th December at 11am

WHERE? Online, via Zoom. Register here.

WHAT? Hosted by Laura of It's A Playground, this is their next #LocalsSupportingLocals Wellbeing Session. The 60 minute session will be a blend of anonymous polls, videos, activities and chat engagement and will cover topics around worry, its impact on our lives, and how to break the worry cycle and challenge our negative thinking in order to boost our emotional resilience. It'll also be an opportunity to connect with other locals and share tips and tools with each other. 

WHY? "These sessions will be taking place monthly, and are a part of our ongoing mission to support our local community in our home borough of Lambeth."

WHO? "If you're over 16 years old and want to learn more about how to break the shackles of the worry chain, this is for you. The session is completely free for anyone living or working in the Borough of Lambeth, London. For everyone else - all you need to do is make a small donation to our monthly charity (this month it is Mind - Lambeth and Southwark)." 

Gong Bath Yoga hosted by the Guru Ram Das Project

WHEN? Weekly on a Monday evening, 7-8:30pm

WHERE? In the Pop Box

WHAT? This charity series of donation-only evening yoga classes are designed to inspire and give you the tools to transform your life and those around you. The emphasis is on short, powerful kundalini techniques that will produce the quickest results. Use these techniques and see the results for yourself.

WHY? The Guru Ram Das Project is a UK based charity set-up with the primary aim of improving the mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing of the community. Find out more here.

Community Breathwork with Safar

WHEN? Sunday 21st & Sunday 28th November, Sunday 5th & Sunday 12th December

WHERE? In the Pop Box

WHAT? Discover powerful breathing techniques in a guided safe space, in this series of Community Breathwork workshops taking place on four Sundays during November and December. Through conscious, connected breathwork, we can transform restricted breathing patterns into deep life-affirming breaths, resulting in profound effects on the mind, body and spirit. Connecting to the breath can:
♢ Relax the nervous system
♢ Strengthen the breathing system
♢ Increase presence & mindfulness
♢ Release stuck emotions
♢ Boost energy levels
♢ Improve sleep & digestion

WHY? Facilitator Sima has spent the past two years in India, collecting wisdom from various teachers and techniques in meditation, yoga, dance, theatre, somatic practices, compassionate inquiry & more. Experienced in holding individual and group breathwork classes, she is excited to now share her teachings and offerings in the UK!

WHO? This class is on donation - give what you can. Please bring a yoga matt or blanket and arrive on an empty stomach, to allow for a deeper experience. Limited capacity event! This class is limited to 10 participants so arrive on time to secure your space.
